Description
This is a 1924 Gibson A-1 Snakehead mandolin, serial number 78901, made during the Lloyd Loar era.  The original black-top finish is in excellent condition, as is the finish on the sides, back, and neck.  The original tuners are also in excellent condition and ‘The Gibson’ logo has the early silkscreen style.   The original bridge has a patent date of January 18, 1921, and the tailpiece is inscribed with ‘The Gibson’.    Only the pickguard has been replaced.  There are no cracks in the body or neck or issues of any kind.   This is a fine-sounding example of a Loar era Gibson Snakehead mandolin.  It comes in its original hardshell case with green plush lining. We offer a 24-hour approval period with money-back guarantee, excluding shipping costs, so feel free to bid with confidence.  Choose the 'Buy it Now' option, and we'll pay all shipping and insurance domestically, other countries we will pay half your shipping if you choose ‘Buy it Now’. Note:  We will NOT falsify customs documents, so please note that you will be required to pay the correct amount of the item’s selling price for international customs duty/taxes when it arrives there. We gladly accept PayPal if you have a good feedback rating.   Any buyers with '0' feedback please contact us first, before bidding, or your bid offers may be rejected.   Now, enjoy bidding.
